Hazrat Maolana Zain-ul-Haq’Waddeen (RA)

Early Life:

His name is Hazrat Khawaja Zain-ul-Haq Waddeen (RA). He became known as Zeenat-ul-Auliya. His father’s name was Hazrat Hafiz Ameer Gul (RA) s/o Mian Mubarak Khan (RA) s/o Mian Adil Khan (RA). His native town (birth-place) was ‘Anga’ (Distt Khushab).

Marital life:

He was married by the order Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA) to the sister of Mr. Malik Shah Nawaz who was a descendant of his great-grandfather Amjad Fateh Khan (RA).

Offspring:

He had two sons and one daughter. The daughter’s name was Bibi Ghulam Fatima, who was eldest in siblings. Among his two sons, the name of one’s was Siraj-ud-Deen who passed away at very early age. The mausoleum of Hazrat Siraj-ud-Deen is located in the cemetery on the eastern side adjacent to the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). The second son was Hazrat Maolana Mohkam-ud-Deen (RA). Who passed away at very younghood, the age of 18. He was a symbol of modesty. Hazrat Maolana Mohkam-ud-Deen’s holy shrine is adjacent to the western wall of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). The year of his demise is 1276 AH. Both brothers passed away in the good life of Hazrat Maolana Zain-ul- Haq (RA). Therefore, after Hazrat Zeenat-ul-Auliya’s demise (3 Muharram-ul-Haram, 1295 AH), his grandson Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-din Ahmed (RA) became the Khalifa and ‘Sajjada Nasheen’ of Khanqah-e-Mo’alla.

Early Education:

Hazrat Khawaja Zain-ul-Haq (RA) received his early education from Molvi Ghulam Nabi in Mauza Kufri (Khushab). Later, he used to take lessons from Muhammad Roshan (RA) in village Leti (Chakwal). Then this genius student joined the ‘Madrassa’ of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA) in Makhad Sharif. It was unique school that true-student who came here to acquire knowledge he became prominent teacher of the time. In Tazkira-tul-Wali it’s mentioned he studied initially ‘Zulekha’. After this initiate, he studied in the same school until to become an authentic scholar. He was lesson-mate of Hazrat Khawaja Shams-ud-Deen Sialvi (RA).

Allegiance and Caliphate (Bait-o-Khilafat)

Hazrat Khawaja Zain-ul-Haq Waddeen performed allegiance to Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). Allegiance and Caliphate:
Hazrat Khawaja Zain-ul-Haq Waddeen performed allegiance to Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). After the demise of Hazrat Maolana Hafiz Abid Jee, the first Sajjada Nashin of Hazrat Maulana, he became the Sajjada Nashin of Maolana Makhadi (RA) as it was the order of Hazrat Shah Mohammad Suleman Taunsvi (RA). Hazrat Pir Pathan Shah Muhammad Sulaiman Tunsvi also honored him with blessings and spiritual grace.
For about 23 years, he remained the Sajjada Nasheen (successor) of Khanqah-e-Moa’alla Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA).
During his era many talented scholars and caliphs were educated and trained by him in the Khanqa and Jamia of Hazrat Maolana Makhadi (RA).

Pupils and Caliphs:

Out of your a large number of students some who got fame in the spiritual and educational sector are Hazrat Maolvi Khursheed Langriyalvi (RA), Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Qadoos Chachvi (RA), Hazrat Maolana Abd-un-Nabi Bhoi Garvi (RA), Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Ahmed Makhadi (RA) and Hazrat Maolana Sultan Mehmood Nami Bandialvi (RA).

Demise:

He passed away on 13th Muharram 1878 correnspnding to 1295 AH. His shrine is in the holy Tomb on the eastern side adjacent to the Holy mausoleum of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). Every year, His annual Urs Mubarak (Demise-Day) on 12th & 13th, Muharram-ul-Harram is observed with great devotion and respect.
After his demise, his grandson (son of his Daughter) Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmad (RA) became the ‘Sajjada Nasheen’ of Maolana Makhadi’s Khanqah. He was the image of his predecessors in knowledge and grace, and following in their footsteps, he continued the teaching and spiritual practices while living at Khanqah Maulana.
