Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmad Makhadi (RA)

Birth & Ealry Life:

His name is Hazrat Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmad (RA) s/o Hazrat Mian Muhammad s/o Hafiz Muhammad Hasan s/o Hazrat Maolana Ibrahim (RA). He was born in 1275 AH / 1858 AD in Makhad Sharif. His ancestors were born and settled in Thoa Mehram Khan (Tehsil Talagang). His great-grandfather Hazrat Maulana Ibrahim’s mausoleum is in Thoa Mehram Khan.
Hazrat Maolana Ibrahim had three sons named:
Hafiz Muhammad Mohsin (RA), Maolana Ghulam Hassan (RA) and Hazrat Muhammad Akram (RA).
Hafiz Muhammad Hassan and Maulana Ghulam Hassan were sibling brothers while Hazrat Muhammad Akram’s mother was other.
Hafiz Muhammad Mohsin (RA) stayed in the town of Torang Mela in Tanda. Maolana Ghulam Hasan settled in Liliani (Sargodha). Muhammad Akram (RA) initially lived with his father, after the demise of his beloved father he settled in Dhadian (Sargodha). Hazrat Hafiz Muhammad Mohsin (RA) stayed in Torang Mela for some time later he left for Makhad Sharif where he stayed in the rooms adjacent to Jamia Masjid (Masjid Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA)). He started learning the Holy Quran. The people of the area benefited from your generosity. He demise happened in the rooms adjacent to the mosque. He was buried in the shadow of the southern minar adjacent to the mosque of Holy Shrine of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). 

Marital Life:

He been married three times. Dhok Laham, Kharpa (Tehsil Pindi Ghaib) Thoha Maharam Khan (Tehsil, Talagang) and one from Kalabagh (District Mianwali).

Education:

He received early education in the Madrasah of Makhad Sharif. Later in Bithu, Fateh Jang, He studied by Maolana Muhammad Qasim (RA). When Hazrat Maolana Zain-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) passed away during those days Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmed (RA) was.  

He was learning Sharah Mulla Jami and Abdul Ghafoor in Bithu, Fateh Jang. His younger brother Hazrat Shams-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) was also with him in studying. Maolana Abd-un-Nabi has written in Tazkira-tul-Mehboob that information about the demise of Hazrat Maolana Zain-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) reached to them after six days. Hazrat Zeenat-ul-Auliya (RA) passed away on the 13th of Moharram-ul–Harram 1295 AH. After the demise of beloved mentor and maternal grandfather both brothers were engaged in the acquisition of knowledge for ten years. In 1305 A.H. became Sajjada Nasheen of Khanqah-e-Mubarak. He enlightened a world with his regular and spiritual knowledge of Islam. Other than Maulana Muhammad Qasim Bathu wala (RA) (Fath Jang), Maolana Khursheed Langrialvi (RA), Maolana Hafiz Abdul (RA) Qaddoos Chachvi (RA) and Maolana Khan Muhammad Marjanvi (RA) are included from whom Molana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmed (RA) got education. Beside this, He continued to acquire knowledge from many madrasas of Hindustan (India).

Allegiance and Caliphate (Bait-o-Khilafat)

His allegiance was affiliated his maternal grandfather Hazrat Khawaja Zain-ud-Deen (RA) known as Zeenat-ul-Auliya. In 1295 AH, in the month of Safar-ul-Muzaffar, Hazrat Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) went to Taunsa to celeberat the annual Urs ceremony of Hazrat Khawaja Shah Suleman Taunsvi (RA), Hazrat Khawaja Allah Bakhsh Gharib Nawaz (RA), the grandson first successor of Hazrat Peer Pathan Taunsvi (RA) granted him with ‘Dastar’ (The sign to be Sajjada Nasheen). In the second year, when he was present at Urs Mubarak again, Hazrat Allah Bakhsh Gharib Nawaz granted him the caliphate. He granted the position of succession to Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA) with the permission of Bait. Hazrat Allah Bakhsh Gharib Nawaz was extremely compassionate towards him. He was companion in travels of Hazrat Khawaja Shah Allah Bakhsh Taunsvi (RA) in obedience of Khawaja sahab’s order. In 1299 A.H., when Allah Bakhsh Gharib Nawaz planned to go on Hajj, he was also sent an invitation to accompany him on the journey. Due to late permission from his grandmother, he could not go with Khawaja sahab in such Allegiance and Caliphate:

Offspring:

Allah blessed him three sons for the sake of his Beloved Holy Prophet SAWW. All the three sons were an example by themselves in the fields of knowledge, grace and act.

Demise:

He passed away on 8th Zul Hijjah, 1338 AH corrensponding to Tuesday, 1920 AD. His age was 63 years when he passed away.
His shrine is adjacent to western side of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi RA.
After his demise, his eldest son Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ahmed-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) became ‘Sajjada Nasheen’ of Khanqah-e-Mo’alla Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA).

Pupils and successors:

In His disciples and successors the names of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ahmad-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA), Hazrat Maolana Mohammad-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA), Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Zain-ud-Deen Makhadi, Taragvi (RA), Maolana Hasan Chishti Hyderabadi (RA), Sufi Atta Muhammad Khan Isa Khelvi (RA), Maulana Shams-ud-Deen Ikhlasi (RA) are included.
Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmed Makhadi (RA) spent his whole life in spreading education and spiritual teaching to a number of the students from various parts of the different stats e.g. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc. (During his era Pakistan was not came into being, it was united-Hindustan)
He wrote letters and replies to the letters that received by him. He spent his most of time in the library, Kutab Khana Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA). He also used to meet and hear the visitors in the Library. He had extreme love with knowledge and books. Reading books was his usual.
Demise:
He passed away on 8th Zul Hijjah, 1338 AH corrensponding to Tuesday, 1920 AD. His age was 63 years when he passed away.
His shrine is adjacent to western side of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi RA.
After his demise, his eldest son Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ahmed-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) became ‘Sajjada Nasheen’ of Khanqah-e-Mo’alla Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA).
