His name was Muhammad Ahmad-ud-Deen s/o Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmad s/o Mian Muhammad s/o Hafiz Muhammad Hasan s/o Maulana Ibrahim (RA). He was born in 1889 AD corrensponding to 1307 AH in Makhad Sharif. His mother was a resident of Dhok Lam (Kharpa, Tehsil Pindi Gheb). He had two brothers, they named:
Hazrat Maolana Muhammad-ud-Deen (RA) (Demise: 1975 AD Buried in Makhad Sharif (Attack).
Maulana Ghulam Zain-ud-Deen (RA) (Demise: 1978 AD- Buried in Tibba Sharif, Tarag (Mianwali). Two of his sisters were married in Taunsa Sharif. One was married to Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Murtaza (RA) and other was a married with Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Mujtaba (RA).
He was married for twice. One from Lilliani Sharif with the daughter of Hafiz Mian Ghulam Rasool (RA) named Karamat Bibi. The second marriage was from Miara Sharif, Pindigheb with Hazrat Faqeer Abdullah Mairvi (RA)’s sister.
Two sons were born from the first wife, named:
Hazrat Maolana Sharaf-ud-Deen Chishti (Passed away & burried in Liliani Sharif at the age of 13)
Hazrat Maulana Fazal-ud-Deen Chishti (RA) the 5th Sajjada Nasheen, Khanqah Ma’ala Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA) (Demise-2nd Shaban-ul-Mo’azam, 1429 AH corrensponding to 8th Augest, 2008 AD)
One daughter named Sughri Bibi was blessed by the Lord Almighty Allah, who passed away in childhood.
There were three sons and two daughters from the second marriage. Third son was born deceased. The names of other two sons are:

He received his early education from his father Hazrat Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen (RA) and uncle Hazrat Maolana Shams-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) (D-1912). Hazrat Maolana Gul Sher (Malhowali) and Muhammad Hashim Qureshi (Tarap) were his educational-fellows.
He completed the Hifz-ul-Qur’an in 6 months.
Your allegiance was with Hazrat Khwaja Allah Bakhsh Karim Taunsvi (RA). And the caliphate was granted from his son Hazrat Khawaja Mahmood Gharib Nawaz (RA). Hazrat Khawaja Mehmood Gharib Nawaz (RA) also awarded Sajjadgi after the demise of his father Maolana Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmad (RA).
As His era as the era of the decline of the Muslim Ummah and especially the Muslims of India were living underneath the Non-Muslim rulers, British rule. He felt very pain of it and did not accepted the non-muslim rule. He functionally took part in Jihad for the freedom of Muslims. For this purpose, he traveled to Bukhara, Afghanistan. Obaidullah Sindhi was also his traveling companion during his trip to Afghanistan. He did this journey on foot. His grandson Hazrat Maolana Fateh-ud-Deen Chishti (RA) quoted, “Respected Grandfather Hazrat Maolana Ahmed-ud-Deen (RA) used to tell about his journey in Afghanistan that on the way, he had to passed over such high mountains that he would start climbing the mountain in the morning and it would be evening by the time he reached the top.” He used to stay there at night. In the morning, when the light spread, they would start the journey again. In Afghanistan, he also met with the President of Afghanistan, Ameer Amanullah. He used to say that one day he went to the mosque to offer the Jummah prayer, Ameer Amanullah came to the mosque with his guards. They were wearing green caps on their heads. They took the caps off before the prayer, the white caps underneath of those became in exposure. Ameer Amanullah himself delivered the Jumma’s sermon and then led the prayer. Hazrat Khawaja Maolana Ahmed-ud-Deen (RA) said that before my eyes the scene of the era of the Companions of the Holy Prophet SAWW (Sahaba) revolved. After the prayer, I hugged Ameer Amanullah involuntary and started shed-tear. When Hazrat Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen Ahmed (RA) passed in 1920 AD, he was in Afghanistan. The news of His father’s passing-away came to you by a merchant. At that time one of your arms was also frectured that was hurt in an accident during the journey. He immediately returned to his native village Makhad Sharif and started to pay responsibilities of the monastery. Other than these journeys, he visited Delhi for several times to meet Maolana Muhammad Ali and Shaukat Ali. (The aim of these travels and meetings was the revival of Islam, although the leaders of these movements were acting on someone else’s instructions.) Beside these he also traveled to Rampur and Hijaz. To perform the Hajj for two times he travelled to the Holy Hijaz. For the first time when in 1925 AD he travlled, his eldest son Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Fazal-ud-Deen Chishti (RA) (D-2nd Shaban-ul-Mo’azam, 1429 A.H. corresponding to 2008 A.D.) was also along with his mother with you. And for the second time with Hazrat Khawaja Qutab sb, the son of Hazrat Khawaja Mehmood Gharib Nawaz Taunsvi (RA) travelled to the Holy Hijaz in 1955 AD. This time the faimly was also with him.
According to his disciple and prominent student Maolvi Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen (who has stayed in Khanqah Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (RA) since 1929 to till his death in 1916 AD), he used to read the books of the library many times. He used to spend a lot of time in the library. The guests and the devotees used to meet Hazrat sahab in Library. Reading books has always been His hobby. He used to write letters to various publishers all over India for the supply of books. Later, he writes letters to the students as well.
During His lifetime he strived for the intellectual and political improvement and superiority of Muslims. In Makhad Sharif,
Along with the religious education factually efforts were also made for the promotion of modern education. He established very first primary school in Makhad Sharif in April 1917 AD. This school was completely charity based that expenses and administrative needs were fulfill by Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ahmed-ud-Deen Chishti (RA). After the foundation of Pakistan, He played his part to give this school status of high-school.
He also played vital role a leader in the movement of Pakistan, but he spare himself from getting any govt-position. According to Maolvi Jee Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Deen, when Muhammad Ali Jinnah became the governor, He also invited Hazrat Maolana Ahmed-ud-Deen (RA) to join his cabinet but he did not like it and refused at all.
With his brothers and other like-minded companions, he formed a Muhammadi army named organization to work for the betterment of Muslims in all mean. Its meetings were held at different times in different cities. In which the country’s powerful scholars and dignitaries were included. The minutes and coverage of these meetings were to be published in fortingly ‘Shamsul Islam’, Bhera. “Dr. Anwar Ahmed also included it in .Tareekh-e-Bagwiya’.
Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ahmad-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA) also wrote articles in ‘Shams-ul-Islam.’
He also played important role in Pakistan Movement. He also a part of Khaksar Tehreek’. For some period he supported Jamaat-e-Islami for the revival of Islamic system in Pakistan. If any individual or movement raised their voice for the revival of Nizam-e-Mustafa SAWW in Pakistan, He fully supported it.
His demise took place on 19th July 1969 corresponding to the 3rd Jamadi-ul-Awwal 1389 AH in Makhad Sharif. His funeral prayers were performed twice. It was performed for the first time under the leadership of his brother Hazrat Maolana Muhammad-ud-Deen Makhadi (RA). The second funeral prayer was led by his grandson Hazrat Mauoa Fateh-ud-Deen Chishti (RA) as he was in Mahar sharif (Chishtian) when this sad news reached him. When he came, the funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) had been already offered. Other than Hazrat Maolana Fateh-ud-Deen Chishti (RA) a large number of devotees were left from perform the funeral so that the second Namaz-e-Janaza was performed under the leadership of Hazrat Maolana Fateh-ud-Deen Chishti (RA). His shrine is on the eastern side of Hazrat Maolana Muhammad Ali Makhadi’s holy shrine.
