History & Introduction

Since its legal-formal existence in 1996, Al Huda Welfare Society has been volunteering in education, health, clean drinking water and other social services on welfare basis in various communities in and around Makhad Sharif. It is the only not-for-profit organization functioning in the are. Although it has been around 28 years since it got its legal status, but in practice, the history of humanitarian services from this platform spans over two hundred years, starting with Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali Makhadi (may God bless him and grant him peace) and successfully reviving by His disciples and successors. Services been planned and maintained according to the needs of each era.

Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Fatehuddin Chishti (may God bless him and grant him peace) took several revolutionary steps to align this forum with modern requirements. He established a network of schools for girls to teach modern academic education which not only established on the basis of self-help but also successfully functional on the same basis. In the walk of health he started regular 'free eye medical Camps' which has been held continuously since 1979 on annual basis. Various Medical camps are also organized for other diseases in connection with health services which have been going on for decades. Hazrat Maulana Ahmaduddin Makhadi (RA) started the Water Supply Scheme on self-help basis to provide clean drinking water to the town of Makhad Sharif in 1947, that was later included in the projects under the supervision of the society after the establishment of Al Huda Welfare Society.
